Internal Memo

Background:

Chennai, India–population 4.6 million and capital of the Indian State of Tamil Nadu.

Currently:

As many of you know, many parts of Chennai (Madras), India have been flooding for over a month. More than two hundred and sixty people have died, many from electrocution due to the severe flooding, others from structural collapse. Rainfall for November has been reported at 40 inches (1024MM). This is 300% above the normal rainfall amount. December 1 rainfall amounts were another 12 inches (300mm). Another 4-8 inches (100-200mm) are anticipated through Sunday. Major manufacturers located in the city including Ford, Hyundai, Nissan, BMW and others have been forced to shut down. Damage is widespread. Fear and panic have gripped the city.

Economic activity in the fifth largest city in India has come to a standstill.

Issues:

1. The aforementioned disasters inside Chennai are proliferating via social media damaging our control of the Internet.
2. Chennai, India, like Sao Paulo, Brasil, is evidence the new climate regime will swamp economic myth. Further proof that the new climate regime has already moved into unsafe patterns and that any area is now unsafe.
3. Any references to Houston or Miami must be reported immediately to Spin Systems Project Management via email or personal phone call. No exceptions will be tolerated–remember the problems we had with the flooding in Bangkok, and the cyclones in Manila.
4. The economic glue is under assault.
5. References to Cave-lite will be buried immediately. Normal chains of approval may be bypassed on this one issue.

Responses:

We are looking for additional propaganda programs to:

• Undermine rational responses, by nations, to climate change.
• Splinter the general population’s political opinion on climate change.
• Distract politicians through economic intimidation.
• Distract social media.
• Undermine scientific understanding of events among the proles.
