From TCi (The Tongue in Cheek Institute):

Caring for the Environmentally Challenged

Planetary priorities are incomprehensible to some. While a lack of ecological understanding is almost impossible for environmentalists to comprehend. In the process of attempting to fathom the reticence of some to accept, or even understand climate events, proponents of climate awareness have come to various dead ends of understanding. This is not to say those that fight the truth of anthropogenic forcing of the radiative balance are a dead end of understanding. Along with being environmentally challenged, for some, truth is an anathema. A foreign invader, a threat to empire, an enemy that exposes a mistake, a crime that must be hidden to retain power. TCi believes separating the environmentally challenged from the environmental sociopath is one of the great hidden issues of our day.

Consider the Quixotic crusades of many–including our scientists–to bridge the gap with the environmentally challenged. It has been of little use. In fact, the concept of environment has been rendered inconsequential by media pushback. Many now blithely say, “Those who depend on blindness for their paycheck will never see the light.” And that’s okay with us? We think not. Worse, many conclude the only option is to wait until the events are so horrific they cannot be ignored. That is pathetic. Still these notions declare the path of the environmentally deficient and their pushers, the environmental sociopath, is not the same. TCi can help you craft your message.

If humans die due to actions fostered by the environmentally challenged, what do we do? A wise first step is to remove the environmentally challenged from positions of power and locate them where they can no longer do harm, to themselves, or us. An executive in a fossil fuel company or a major stockholder who believes their security is tied to archaic economic models may not be environmentally challenged or a sociopath. They could be ignorant, stupid, or apathetic. The broad-brush efforts on the part of scientists and others to communicate have been largely unsuccessful due to a lack of demographic segmentation between the environmentally ignorant, the retarded, and the sociopath. TCi can help you develop the demographic data on who has significant challenges–and who is just misguided by an equity fetish.

Are you trying to communicate planetary imperatives to a dullard, a nihilist, an ignorant buffoon, or a sociopath? Countless communicators focus on explaining anthropogenic forcing of the radiative balance with facts. They are beginning to see some members of the audience have issues, and that information is pointless. One huge benefit of the scientific community’s efforts with leadership has been in uncovering a dirty little secret: Some in power are unable to grasp the importance of ecosystem, environment, or interconnection. Helping the environmentally retarded, or providing climate clarity to the environmentally baffled, while comforting the classically ignorant can prove more successful if you deplete the quantity of facts and add coping strategies that take into account the realities of those who cannot cope with anthropogenic forcing of the radiative balance, like megalomaniacs. To this end, TCi uses real life experience, tutored lessons, educated care-givers, and simple concepts that use manipulatives for teaching this portion of our challenged leadership.

Think of TCi as special education for a retarded leadership–and more.

If a leader’s posture on the planet says economic theory can and will dominate planetary processes, like the changing climate, it might not be the sign of psychosis. It could just mean that person is environmentally challenged, lost in Gaian denial, or not working with a full deck. That some in a position of leadership are so tied into the religious fervor of economics, their devotions leave no quarter for the concept of an ecosystem, or the knowledge that the connective systems of ecosystems are key, not any person, event, or their money. TCi provides a caring environment for this portion of the ecologically challenged through devotees of Ayn Rand, Adam Smith, and Nietzche. Finding the right message for the ignorant, the willfully blind, or the nihilist facilitates corporate survival. Ignoring these different demographic groups, and messages they relate to is pathological. Trust us, TCi is all that.

TCi knows a community with a need to control might not be sociopaths; “winning the game” may blind some causing willful ignorance. TCi can find the denizens of this demographic group as well.

For some, everything is a competition. The competitive fever owns them. They struggle to be the owner of a monopoly, or at minimum a key player in a cartel. Air, water, food, basic services, is all free to them. Everything else is an M&A candidate. Does this necessarily mean these people are sociopaths? Perhaps, but vetting the sociopaths from those tasked with a mad lust for power driven by fear is TCi’s duty. We craft individual climate messages that will take the delusional into their blockage. Over and over TCi has seen that intentional dismissal of fact, a moldy perception, or retro-thinking is not a precursor to crime. People just sometimes need help. Still leadership should be evaluated to determine the depth of their issues with the Earth’s climate message. Those who unequivocally defend economic myth, or overtly foster misinformation through lies and deceit on uber-economics should be provided immediate care. Our facilities on the Caymen Islands provide both comfort–and a caring staff. CNBC and Bloomberg are expressly forbidden. Attorney’s have only limited visiting times while staff accountants have 24/7 access.

Consider the early stages of aberrant behavior: Like a formula for a secret sauce on a hamburger, or guarding the chemical mix in soft drinks. Who cares if the chemicals in food products hurt people? Remember the Ford disposable lighter or the Corvair? Let TCi help you determine if your management team is dealing with too much stress. Understand why aggressive actuarial analysis of your products does not mean management has early stage sociopathic behavior.

On the point of climate systems, some believe there is danger if the population recognizes and accepts that fossil fuel systems can cause worldwide disasters or that fossil fuels are unnecessary while the transition to sustainability feeds the fear. Mixing excess money and panic seems to foster some serious mental aberrations. At one time, the issue of anthropogenic forcing of the radiative balance centered on the political will of common citizens. That is no longer the case. Citizens are ready for a message of proactive change despite the media barrage of blather. So therefore, money has sway over the planet? That’s a bit daft. At TCi, we use demographic data to craft climate reality for those challenged by job-myopia or an inability to leave the last century behind.

TCi therefore believes our leaders are ready for remedial education on the climate. Again, the demon is fear, equity loss, a lack of hard cash, a softening of one’s position, a flaccid portfolio. Denial crosses the line of propriety when its pylon of propaganda flags from destruction by holding too dear the one-dimensional construct of convenience we call economics.

Environmental sociopathic behavior that leads to the death of millions is a crime against society and should be dealt with as quickly as possible. Therefore, we must rapidly determine if a person denying the facts of climate, ecosystems, or planetary forces is environmentally challenged, willfully ignorant, stupid, or a sociopath. TCi can provide a set of questions for business leaders, major stockholders, AMS, Congress, the Senate, and others in positions of power relating to the climate. In all of these cases, a multiple-choice test has the best chance for success. Administered over the Internet, our tests can be checked for validity by a trusted source: like the Republican Party leadership or an oil cartel. TCi will then determine if aberrant issues are at work for those involved in the test and a therapy rubric instituted.

If someone deems environmental events are unimportant, because in the past environment was predominantly benign. That is a sure sign of an environmental issue. TCi coined the term: Durham Complex–as you know. So of course, it may be a simpler problem–like graft, or corruption. We at TCi, are experts at corruption as are the proctors mentioned. And while corruption is the right of corrupted leadership, fostering extinction is not a viable option; at TCi, we think this clarity has finally gone mainstream.

Many still declare that when economics cycles down it is a disaster, regardless of the overall affect on civilization. Or worse, if you don’t affirm the economic cycle you are somehow ignorant of economics or a pawn of dark forces. Severe reductions in CO2 output are a disaster for some sectors of our economy. This is a fact–but civilization is full of outmoded facts. Automobiles were a disaster for buggy whip manufacturers and the wooden wheel cartel. Let TCi help you face the wind. Repeated mega-storms, drought, sea level rise, floods, titanic firestorms, and so forth foster divergent, climate induced economic disasters that will crush our economy. Too many to cope with on any level, in a generation or so, we will enter the triage phase. TCi is here to buck the bunker mentality that fosters an economic myth of intense climatic devastation as part of the cycle. We must clear a path that keeps our economy viable by finding the blockage that is bound-up leadership–and rinsing it away.

Locating environmental sociopaths facilitates evolution and limits the possibilities of extinction. Consider that for some, the idea of an organized, though chaotic system, where the members of the geometry are interconnected on many planes–and the system focus on interconnections, not the individual member–a pointless clarity. It is a color to a blind man with issues. Consider what happens if this concept of interconnection, ecosystem, and the environmental danger we face gains traction with this demographic segment. Envision their fears: Environment might outstrip NASCAR. Drought might derail the coal train. Supercells might supplant the Super Bowl. Imagine the incredible consequence, the perceived economic devastation, the fear of losing hard cash for those vested in these events. There is no balance to their loss. They cannot perceive the worth of others.

This is what makes an environmental sociopath.
