How To Dissect The Latest Twist: “Has The USA Lost Its Moral Authority?”

Oops, oh that’s right. There This is the current drama: Our nation’s loss of moral authority.  Let’s cut through this one. We wouldn’t want to miss a single Tweet. Insofar as Global Warming (anthropogenic forcing of the radiative balance), the United States of America is declaring war on the rest of the world by not supporting appropriate national controls on GHGs.  Or did you miss that one?

A mobius strip is a one-sided object with one boundary–or in a simple form–an oddity of paper cutting and pasting.  To make a mobius strip, take a strip of paper 1” or so wide and about 10” long and place it flat on a table. Pick up and twist the paper once. Then glue or tape the ends together so it forms a ring. With a pencil, from any point, draw a line around the ring. The line will return to your starting location. An object that once had two sides now only has one side.

In this simple example, see the core purpose of manipulation in our national politics, our media, and our economics. Once a substrate has been manipulated, even though it looks like there are two sides, careful examination reveals that there is only one side. Such is the way of propaganda, spin, misinformation, and party-lines defeat the will of citizens in this country. Of course, this fosters little sympathy from allies battling the new climate regime.

Look at recent reports on social programs, the environment, or medical rights. Our national agenda has been twisted into a mobius strip of reports steering us to debilitating conclusions. Consider the hot-button issue: Global Warming. (Surprised aren’t you?)

Consider that solutions providing economic growth, resilience, jobs, and hope are under attack because they slash corporate profitability and investor returns. Answers like electric vehicles powered by battery-based home solar systems are under incessant assault through lobbying and graft in a desperate battle by the utility industry and the fossil fuels industry to turn back the clock.

Leadership declares Global Warming a warming of planetary temperature, which has no happy end. The media declares that leadership has it all wrong. Two sides, right. Consider that just this past week it was reported the EPA Administrator stated carbon dioxide is not a key to control Global Warming mayhem. This same week the CEOs of major fossil fuels companies pontificated on how coping with Global Warming requires carbon dioxide controls. (By the way, you are watching a rewriting of history. Remember this when your children tell you that EPA was the dragon and the fossil fuels companies were the knights way back when in 2017.)

(dan, this means your readers have been taken in by this same kind of historical fraud without their knowledge, and youth is always right. they will never remember this. why put it in? –editor)

Anyway, let’s cut through the tape of media corruption, corporate spin, and legislator-graft to see the other side of the issue: Climate change is a total reorganization of priorities across our society.
